You will not find a front desk at this historical property, if you need us just reach out with a call or text message. It may seem unusual to many seasoned travelers, but the concept is a growing hospitality trend, and we are happy to help you with the learning curve. Guest rooms will be serviced daily by our professional service team and employees will be on site during normal business hours. If you would like to opt out of daily cleaning service in order to enjoy more privacy or to lower our carbon footprint, simply send us a text or leave the sign hanging on the outside of your guestroom door before heading out to breakfast. We also keep a stocked guest closet on the third floor, full of extra amenities and supplies should you have a need while our staff is offsite.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m. We know it will be hard to leave our luxury eBoutique but please understand that another person is also anxiously waiting for their experience to begin. We do have policies in place should you have a delay of any sort. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible pending availability and payment of a small fee.

We have ten guest rooms available: four king rooms with private balconies, five king rooms, and one two-room suite which includes a living room with a sleeper sofa.

Yes, every guest room contains an Antarctic Star beverage refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker.

Other than our historic, three-story staircases, we do not. If you would like something more than that, we encourage you to head towards the New Bern Riverwalk or stroll the sidewalks in our nearby historical home district. We have self-guided tours on this website if you wish to add some history and culture to your walk.

This is one practice that has thankfully waned over the last two hundred thirty years. We are a smoke free property, including your suite, shared spaces, stairs, halls, balconies, and grounds. If you absolutely must, please do so at the nearby Union Point Park or strolling the lovely sidewalks of Downtown New Bern.

As animal lovers ourselves we understand this desire, but out of respect for guests that have pet allergies, we are a pet-free hotel. We are happy to recommend this local kennel for your four-legged friends visiting town:

Due to our limited room quantity, we often have to turn away other guests to honor your reservation. Therefore, we require 10 days’ notice prior to your scheduled arrival date in order to avoid a penalty of 50% of stay or a one-night charge, whichever is greater. This penalty will include normal state, local, and occupancy taxes.

We have 10 onsite parking spots, which are free for guest use. Each guest room is allowed one vehicle of moderate size in our parking area. Any oversized vehicles or secondary vehicles may use the City of New Bern’s nearby Red Bear Lot. Please follow this link for more details and rules for City parking. The City’s Red Bear Lot also has EV charging stations.

Due to the historical nature of our building, built in 1797 and part of the national historic registry, our parlor and guest rooms are not mobility accessible.

We do not have an elevator or onsite bellhop to assist with guest luggage. Guests anticipating difficulty in this department should endeavor to book first-floor rooms.

We know that groups are eager to book the entire property for their events and you are more than welcome to do so. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis so be sure to book all ten rooms in advance if you have a need for that many. We load inventory on our booking system twelve months in advance in most cases. Should you require rooms beyond that time, feel free to email stay@theharvey.com with your request.
